Academics:The young men and women who are attending College Bound significantly improve their GPA by gaining the necessary skills needed to overcome past obstacles. Subsequent to admittance, each student is evaluated for his/her academic abilities, and an individualized curriculum is developed. This curriculum matches the academic and career goals of each student with his/her strengths and weaknesses in order to ensure success.

The college experience begins with a course in study skills and career planning. Each student is provided with individual tutoring and an advocate which facilitates communication between the student and the professor. Group and/or individual study sessions are available daily to ensure the academic progress.

Activities:Recreational activiities are essential to facilitate positive emotional growth and relaxation during time of stress. Due to the ever changing seasons in Northern Idaho, many recreational activities are based upon the time of year and the weather. Various activities may include: backpacking, camping, hiking, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, weight training, aerobic training, boating, canoeing, kayaking, basketball, volleyball, snowshoeing, white-water rafting, playing pool, attending movies or bowling.

All students regularly participate in community volunteer projects and are encouraged to get a part-time job. Whatever activities are implemented, there will always be a balance between recreation time, time at work, and volunteering in the community.

Campus:The College Bound program is operated out of a beautiful housing facility that includes a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, pool table, a basketball court and an outdoor volleyball court.
Students attending college live in small groups with a maximum of eight per home. Residents are expected to complete daily chores, prepare meals and clean up after themselves.

Menus are developed by a nutritionist to ensure the continuing health of each young adult.
Financial Assistance:Student loans are available from banking institutions that specialize in educational loans. Two financial services that we recommend using are Keybank and TERI. For more information contact us at (800) 944-1070 or contact us online and a representative will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Specialties:Several years of experience in working with troubled adolescents has allowed us to observe the tremendous need for a structured, academic program that will foster growth in young adults. Many adolescents who struggle through high school, or are unable to complete their secondary education successfully, have a desire to continue their education. However, complications earlier in life make this task difficult, and at times, unmanageable without assistance. College Bound is a program designed to cultivate academic achievement in young adults.
