| Description: | Our Agency Since 1972, Aunt Martha's has provided comprehensive, community-based services to residents of seven northeastern Illinois counties: Cook (including metropolitan Chicago), Grundy, Iroquois, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall and Will. Aunt Martha's offers child welfare, counseling, education, health care and youth development services. Aunt Martha's is a private, not-for-profit service agency. We are state-licensed to provide child welfare, substance abuse treatment, and childcare services. The agency is accredited by the Joint Commision on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. |

| Activities: | Youth participation is a concept where young people and adults equally share the responsibilities of decision-making and the implementation of ideas. This concept is based on the theory that all people are inherently worthy and have the power to make positive decisions when they are provided the opportunity. Project Listen Youth run drama troupe open to volunteers ages 14-21. Meets from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Club Exposure Youth program designed to allow youth to express themselves by participating in Hip-Hop culture. Ages 14 to 18. Open Mondays, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesdays, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Drop-In Center Safe environment for youth ages 14-21. Open 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Genesis Assisting interested youth in developing and implementing youth programs of their choice. |
