Description:We provide residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment in one of the most beautiful, serene and luxurious settings in Northern California. We are committed to providing respectful, individualized, and confidential treatment to all of our clients and their loved ones. Nestled in the hills of Marin County overlooking the beautiful San Francisco Bay and Mount Tamalpais, Bayside Marin offers an atmosphere of healing and grace.

Our multi-disciplinary treatment team works very hard to assure that every client's treatment experience is as impressive as the facility. We believe that people have the right to achieve Recovery in an atmosphere of safety, dignity and empowerment. We do not agree with the common notion that "one size fits all" so we treat each client as an individual, and tailor our treatment plans to address the specific challenges that pose a threat to long term Recovery.

We have a unique model in that we blend a small and intimate treatment setting with highly trained staff. We have three, six bed houses each with their own state license, certification, and clinical staff. Since our census at each house will never exceed six, residents tend to get more individualized attention and do not get “lost in the shuffle”. Each resident will receive an average of two individual therapy sessions per week by our three doctorate level primary therapists who will never carry a caseload of more than six. We have masters level counselors, licensed physical therapists, personal trainers, acupuncturists, massage therapists, registered dieticians and other highly skilled staff.

Many people who are struggling with addiction may appear very successful, affluent and productive to the outside world, however internally they often feel extremely distraught, tortured and fearful of their future. Addiction does not discriminate and it is not necessary to "hit bottom" and loose everything before you seek help. Many of our clients are physicians, attorneys, business people, athletes, celebrities and other high profile and high functioning individuals. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to admit there is a problem and then to reach out to ask for help. It is important that one chooses a program that is not only comfortable but effective. It takes a very skilled and competent staff to counsel, challenge and confront this type of personality. Our treatment team is more than able to assist clients in identifying issues specific to their lifestyle, their social circle and their profession that might contribute to their Recovery and/or their Relapse.

We also realize that treatment does not end upon discharge, and that anyone can stay clean and sober while in a program. The real challenge is to stay sober once you leave the program. So we provide extensive aftercare and follow-up for three years post discharge for all residents who successfully complete our program.

We are aware that addiction deteriorates individuals and families Biologically, Psychologically, Socially and Spiritually, so The Bayside Model is designed to promote healing in those same areas. Here are some of the services provided by Bayside Marin
Family Involvement:yes
Length of Stay:The average length of stay in this level of care is 30 to 60 days. Length of stay is contingent on the severity of detox, client’s willingness and ability to complete treatment assignments, client’s progress in treatment and client’s comfort level at time of discharge.
Philosophy:At Bayside Marin our mission is to provide a serene, safe and luxurious setting, while providing comprehensive, current and effective treatment for those seeking Recovery from substance abuse and addiction. We believe that all of our clients are individuals and deserve an opportunity to identify and develop a Recovery Program that will work for them and their lifestyle and will support long term Recovery.

We are committed to maintaining a high quality competent staff. Our multi-disciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified addictions counselors, nutritional counselors, physical trainers, body-workers, and other treatment specialists all work together to assure that each client receives the utmost in quality care. We believe that treatment need not be punitive, humiliating or degrading, and in fact should be nurturing, empowering and healing. We believe that long-term Recovery should support healing Biologically, Psychologically, Socially and Spiritually, and The Bayside Model reflects that belief.

We believe that treatment does not end on the discharge date, so we provide three years of comprehensive Continuing Care and very intensive follow up. We work closely with our clients to develop a Program of Recovery and we become part of their sober support network. We know that the road to Recovery is a hard one, but one that can lead from the hell of addiction to the freedom of Recovery. Our belief at Bayside Marin is that there is no hopeless case and no matter how severe the addiction, with the right treatment anyone can “Turn Your Life Around”.
Staff:Treatment Team
Medical Staff
Our medical consulting team consists of 3 medical doctors, a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, and a registered nurse. All of our medical team is licensed to practice in the State of California and specializes in addiction medicine. We also have consulting certified physical therapists and a nutritionist as part of our treatment team. Our medical staff utilize the most current practices and medications and are committed to providing comprehensive and individualized care to each client.

Therapists
At Bayside Marin we pride ourselves in the expertise and dedication of our clinical team. Each therapist and counselor was carefully selected because of their skill level, passion for the field and commitment to clinical excellence. We have full time psychologists, clinical therapists, masters level addiction counselors, certified alcohol and drug counselors, certified relapse prevention specialists, and other qualified clinical staff. All of our staff is knowledgeable about recovery, and most have years of personal recovery themselves. Because of the varied background and extensive training of our clinical team we are able to respond to the diverse challenges that our clients bring to the program.

Interventionists
At Bayside Marin we have trained interventionists on our team and a network of interventionists nationwide. Our intervention staff are doctorate and masters level clinicians with years of experience in the very delicate work of assisting the family and the substance abuser to access recovery. The interventionist is trained to provide education and support to the family, to communicate with the substance abuser, and to provide treatment recommendations and follow-up services. Because of the seriousness and critical nature of the intervention process, we are extremely selective in who we use for this service.
Tuition/Costs:Admission & Fees
Bayside Marin has made every effort to keep our program affordable and charges are directly related to expenses incurred in providing services. Our rates are all-inclusive unless otherwise noted. You will be notified in advance if any service is recommended that will require additional payment, and you will have the option to decline that service. Our fees are as follows:

Evaluation and Treatment Recommendation
$5,000
The evaluation consists of a Physical Examination, Psychological Testing, Psychiatric Evaluation (if indicated), nationally recognized and utilized addiction screening tools (SASSI-II, DSM-IV), and a Psycho-Social evaluation by an Addiction Specialist. In addition, clients meet with therapy staff for further consultation and interview. Following the Evaluations a written Clinical Summary and Treatment Recommendation is generated and supplied to client and/or referral source. Average length of stay for this level of care is three to five days at our residential facility.

Intervention Services
$3,500 (plus expenses)
At Bayside Marin we provide Intervention services nationwide. We can arrange and facilitate an Intervention in your area by dispatching an Interventionist from our staff or from our network of Interventionists around the country. It is not a requirement for using our Intervention Service that the clients attend treatment at Bayside Marin. A recommendation for treatment will be made based on clinical needs to the most appropriate facility, which may or may not be Bayside Marin.

Detoxification
If hospitalization is required, separate financial arrangements must be made with the hospital and the attending physician. All charges associated with a hospital detoxification will be the sole responsibility of the client. However, Bayside Marin will continue to supply clinical and therapeutic support at no charge during this phase of treatment.

On-site detoxification is available and will be charged at the rate of $500 to $1,000 additional per day. The variance in price is due to the level of monitoring required. Example: If a resident requires 24 hour one on one monitoring, the detox fee will be $1,000. Less than 10% of our residents require this level of detox.

Residential Treatment
$1,250 per day (semi-private room)
$1,650 per day (private room)
Costs include all services provided during residential treatment unless otherwise stated, including room, gourmet meals, non-hospital detoxification, medical examination and follow ups, psychological evaluation, nursing care, individual, group and family therapy, massage, yoga, tai-chi, personal training, transportation to and from meetings/airport, etc. Minimum length of stay is 30 days.
