| Description: | Grace Haven Is: 1 1. A ministry reaching out to troubled youth in America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2. A place of shelter offering guidance, schooling, and hope when they are in trouble. 3. A mission work that assist devloping churches in East Africa. 4. A Local Church ministry. Believing in the authority and priority of the local church as the base for all Christian ministry. Grace Haven operates as a ministry under the church by the following methods: Each supporting church may offer counsel and suggestions to the board at any time. Grace Haven shall operate under supervision of a sitting board of directors chosen from supporting churches. The ministry functions under the legal authority of one local church |
| Student Profile: | The youth who come to Grace Haven may do so for a variety of reasons ranging from the homeless and runaways to those who are struggling with dificulties at home. Below are examples of youth that Grace Haven will consider accepting: Homeless Youth - Those who have for one reason or another found themselves without an acceptable place to stay. At Risk Youth - Youth currently living at home but they have run into problems of one kind or another. Pregnant Girls - We will consider shelter for unwed pregnant teens on a limited basis. |

| Activities: | Bumper Pool and Table tennis. A 1-acre lake with fishing, swimming, and paddle boat. Picnic area with basketball court. Weekly outing activities. Christian Sattelite TV. Movie night with popcorn. |
| Campus: | We are situated in rural central North Carolina on a beautiful fifty acre campus. Our facilities include: 1. Dormitory housing for boys and girls. 2. Learning center for academic education using a self paced curriculum through grade 12 3. Kitchen and Dining facilities. 4. Large open chapel for warm weather events with Christian speakers and singers. |
| Philosophy: | At Grace Haven we understand that no program, plan, or place alone can truly change a life. We know that it is only through a genuine relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that anyone can have real change for time and eternity. Therefore, the presentation of the Gospel is primary in all that we do here on campus. We expect greatness from the young people who come to us. We desire that they will excel in every aspect of their lives. It is our prayer that young people will leave this campus knowing Christ and living a life that will glorify Him. This is genuine achievement. |
| Tuition/Costs: | Cost and Funding Grace Haven Academy does not charge a set fee for tuition. We do not accept or reject any student (except in the case of pregnancy) because of financial reasons. Churches and individuals who share our vision for youth fund this work. |
