| Philosophy: | The MHYR program uses a model of communication and behavior based on Dr. H. Stephen Glenn's """"""""Raising Self-Reliant Children in a Self-indulgent World,"""""""" which incorporates the philosophies of Cognitive Therapy, Love and Logic, and Dr. Jane Nelson's """"""""Positive Discipline"""""""". In order to change behavior we must first change perceptions. We focus on a model of communication based on the philosophy of unconditional valuing and respect of children and on the learning of seven essential tools of effective parenting. These tools are separated into perceptions and skills which are identified as essential elements in raising self-reliant children in a self-indulgent world. |

| Specialties: | The field operations are located 45 minutes from Grand Junction, Colorado. All flights for youth program are to fly into Grand Junction airport in Colorado.
