| Student Profile: | Specific learning deficits. May appear unmotivated to learn in a regular classroom environment. ADD - ADHD - Dyslexia - Underachievers - Reading difficulties - MTBI - Other neuro-psychological disorders - Learning disabilities |
| Academics: | Emphasizes the basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, stressing the minimal competency academic requisites necessary for success in any academic, vocational, or career pursuit. |
| Activities: | Campers will participate in on campus and off campus adventures which include sports, wilderness adventures, hiking, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and cultural activities |
| Counseling: | A licensed psychological counselor who comes to the campus for individual sessions scheduled as necessary, usually once a week. There are group sessions offered each week by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. |
| Campus: | The residence halls for young men and women, beautiful, rustic structures fitting cozily into the surrounding woods, boasts modern dorm rooms, with bath and laundry facilities, and a commons/dining room for relaxing and entertaining. |
| Length of Stay: | Traditional nine-month school year, generally late August through early June. |
| Philosophy: | It is the philosophy of every Gables staff and faculty member to provide each child with the instruction and opportunity needed for that child to reach their full potential |
| Staff: | Gables Academy's faculty consists predominantly of those who have at least a master's level degree and are certified to teach in the state of Georgia. A majority of the faculty members boast years of experience in teaching and nurturing the special needs student |
| Tuition/Costs: | Tuition for a full time boarding student, $29,100.00. This tuition is based on a traditional nine-month school year, generally late August through early June. Registration for the six week sessions of summer school and camp are handled separately. |
