Description:A core belief of Diamond Ranch Academy is that struggling teens have simply reversed many of life’s principles of successful living by accepting society’s trend to justify and minimize personal behavior.

To counter this trend, we believe personal accountability and responsibility are vital principles for a foundation of successful living. It is out of this belief that an incredibly simple and effective program was created.
Director Name:Dan Borchardt
Enroll Info:he first step in the admissions process is to determine whether or not your son or daughter would be a good fit for Diamond Ranch Academy.

Student Profile:Diamond Ranch Academy specializes in students who are struggling, but not court adjudicated. The program is an intervention program, and is intended to be applied long before a child enters the judicial system.
Academics:At DRA, we utilize a personalized system of instruction that promotes student ownership in the learning process.

With the support of certified teachers in a traditional classroom setting, students leave DRA having gained knowledge, skills, and confidence.

This empowers them towards academic achievement and becoming lifelong learners.

Accreditation

DRA is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and the Utah State Office of Education. Credit earned at DRA will transfer to high schools, colleges, and universities throughout the United States and internationally. Students near completion of their graduation requirements can complete and receive an accredited High School Diploma while at DRA.
Activities:Athletics, Clubs & Activities

Physical fitness is an essential part of a teen's physical and emotional health.

Diamond Ranch Academy athletics programs give struggling teens the opportunity to learn more about themselves, to become disciplined, to work together as a team, to trust others and to be trustworthy.

Students who participate in competitive athletics learn that their choices and actions affect more than just themselves.

Yes we win, a lot, but character comes first.

Our competitive athletics programs, as with Clubs & Activities are designed as part of the therapeutic process.

Even teens who have never been involved in sports, Pottery, 4H, Music or any activity at that, learn confidence and build their self image as they participate in all of the activities Diamond Ranch has to offer.

Diamond Ranch Academy offers Clubs & Activities throughout the year, including:
•4H
•Hiking
•Music
•Speech & Debate
•Pottery
•Media

Competitive sports offered throughout the year that we compete against schools throughout Utah, Arizona, and Nevada, include:

•Basketball
•Cheer & Dance
•Wrestling

Counseling:All aspects of our program are integrated and designed to be therapeutic in purpose.

The Therapeutic Milieu created at Diamond Ranch facilitates the change process. Students are on a journey of emotional self-discovery and learning at all times throughout the program.

Licensure

All of our Doctorate or Masters level therapists are professionally licensed with the State of Utah as Mental Health Professionals.

Therapists are required to meet continuing education and training requirements to maintain their licenses and level of expertise.

Clinicians & Staff

We have a full staff of experienced, caring, Licensed Mental Health professionals who oversee the treatment of students. Therapists conduct individual, family, and groups sessions with students.
