| Student Profile: | Substance/alcohol abuse, suicidal, depression, theft, running away, ODD, ADD/ADHD, mild anger, sexual abuse, behavioral problems, psychosis diagnoses if not extreme (must be evaluated). |
| Academics: | Accedited by Northwest. Individualized schooling, self directed with on staff teacher assistance. The classes are held in the dorm rooms with 4 to a room to keep it small and individualized. They can work with Special Education students. Offer main core curriculum classes and ELECTIVES in: Speech, French, Spanish, Teen Living, Food & Nutrition, Keyboarding, Interior Design; COMPUTERS: Computer Literacy; VOCATIONAL: Career Exploration, Ag Science & Tech., Technology Ed.; ARTS: Art Foundations, Drawing, Music Appreciation, Class Guitar. |
| Activities: | Service projects for the community, boating activities (Super activity), go off campus to work out at Gold's Gym. Like to do physical activities. |
| Counseling: | Daily Group therapy, individual therapy weekly (or as needed if more), AA class off campus. Two on staff therapists (LCSW) Brent Price and Carole Bell. Work with Dr. Collins of Desert Hills for psych services. |
| Campus: | New facility. House style setting with dorm rooms with bunks (4 to a room) and an open commons room and kitchen area. Facility sits on 10 acres and backs up to the Virgin River. Has nice back yard with court and small track around outer lawn. |
| Family Involvement: | Student may call home first time after reaching Level 2. Speaker phone sessions with parents, therapist and child too. |
| Length of Stay: | 9-12 months |
| Financial Assistance: | Prep gate loans are available, also Sallie Mae loans can be obtained. |
| Tuition/Costs: | $4,950 per month with a $2,500 start up fee. Some major super activities may be additional. |
