Activities:She has access to riding arenas, a sports court, an outdoor swimming pond, 9 acres of orchard, a play ground, soccer field, and much more. Some of the many activities she may choose during her free time are playing with kittens, working on a computer, gardening, or playing a piano
Counseling:We provide a minimum over 25 hours of therapy per student per week (individual, family, group, equine, and experience-based therapy). These hours are all Master's level therapy. We individualize the treatment your daughter receives at every possible level, such as placing her in psychotherapy groups that are specific to her particular issue
Campus:New Haven is very particular about maintaining a country-style home environment. Your daughter will have one roommate and will share a bathroom with three girls. In the home are cooking, laundry, and exercise facilities.
Family Involvement:A minimum of one phone call per week to parents is allowed for each student. During the first two weeks there are no phone privileges outside of family therapy. We hope you will plan to visit your daughter as often as you can. We encourage face-to-face family therapy, and we require at least one home pass and one participation in a family weekend experience before her discharge.
Length of Stay:A student may complete her treatment in as little as 5 months in some cases, but our average is around 6.
Philosophy:The philosophy at New Haven is unique and multidimensional. Six areas can allow for significant change in your daughter's life.
Financial Assistance:We do not offer scholarships. Some insurance plans have a """"""""Residential Treatment"""""""" benefit, and in some cases this may help defray your costs.
Staff:We have a highly trained and experienced Board Certified Psychiatrist, who specializes in adolescent psychiatry, on call 24 hrs a day. Our nursing department is headed by a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience
Tuition/Costs:10,000.00
Specialties:We encourage you to speak with those who have been through our program. Many parents are excited to share their experience with you. Contact Marsha in admissions for a list of parents in your area or who have had similar experiences with their daughters.
