| Description: | Allow us to introduce you to a very different kind of teenage summer program: Longacre Leadership Program. Longacre Leadership is not a traditional camp, but a teenage leadership program offering diverse projects, activities, and trips that you choose for yourself every day. Each summer we work together to form a community that builds trust, responsibility, and friendship. |

| Activities: | Would you like to build a building, ride horses, go rock climbing, help protect endangered species, drive a tractor, create with stained glass, go to Hersheypark, work with Habitat for Humanity, or act on stage for preschoolers? These are just some of the options when you spend a summer at Longacre. |
| Counseling: | At Longacre Leadership Program, you will learn how to lead your peers, with emphases on independent living, open communication, hands-on learning and outdoor adventure. Learning to communicate openly and honestly, you will discover a lot about yourself. |

| Length of Stay: | We run a four-week session and a six-week session. All arrive on the same day, June 27th |
| Philosophy: | During your stay at Longacre, you'll leave the world of cell phones, computers and video games behind. Instead, you'll enjoy more personal interaction and natural surroundings. Longacre is a real working farm, but we grow much more than plants and animals. | Financial Assistance: | We are committed to providing 20% of our students with a full or partial scholarship on an "as needed" basis. This is made possible through our own efforts and by partnering with foundations, service organizations and interested individuals who wish to provide this experience to teenagers regardless of their ability to pay. | Staff: | We are often asked how we can form great groups of people year after year. It all begins with mature, skilled adults who love being with teenagers. Many were once Longacre participants. Most are graduate students, returned Peace Corps Volunteers, outdoor educators or teachers. All are 21 years of age or older. We've enjoyed the company of those who have come here after teaching kindergarten in Peru, public health development in Gabon, and environmental education in Texas. |
