Resident Counselors are sought to play a vital role in the care & treatment of addicted and alcoholic teens. Duties include implementing treatment, care & supervision, working with other staff & documentation. Candidates should have Bachelor degree and valid driver's license. Requires good communication skills & physical stamina. These teens need your unconditional love, message of hope and professional services. | Counseling: | Our Counseling Program, staffed by licensed and trained professionals, focuses on unifying and strengthening troubled families. We see over 500 clients a year who would otherwise not get help because of financial hardship. Many of our clients have children in our other programs and need help to resolve their conflicts. Others are referred by pastors, private counselors, and friends. We ask them to pay on a sliding scale based on income. Our therapists are men and women of faith with compassionate hearts and the skills and training to assist our clients through life challenges. All of our counselors are either fully licensed by the State of California or are in training, and are supervised by highly skilled, fully licensed therapists. Advent counseling services provides counseling to anyone, regardless of age, race, ethnic background, sexual orientation, disablilty or religion. Our mission is to serve the community by providing quality counseling services to anyone seeking help with emotional or relational difficulties at a reasonable cost. Now I have hope and health and life." - Tony Advent has an innovative live-in treatment program for chemically dependent teenagers, the first of its kind in Santa Clara County. We also provide help for any accompanying emotional disturbances and struggles resulting from the effects of sexual and physical abuse. We strive to maintain a family-type atmosphere and to develop within each youth a commitment to lasting personal recovery. Our staff live with the kids twenty-four hours a day and provide treatment services which include: daily group counseling, individual attention from a trained therapist, drug and alcohol education, on-grounds schooling, a spiritual focus to recovery, and Twelve Step meetings. |
