PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
The LHA academic philosophy believes that learning itself is the student’s task. Learning is interpreting and understanding information in a different way. A student’s internal mental process includes insight, information processing, memory, and perception. The ultimate purpose is for each LHA student to develop the capacity and skills to use strategies that provide alternate methods in areas of her learning discrepancies: for each student to own her academic process and be prepared for the next level.
Lake House Academy is located in Flat Rock near picturesque Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville is an area rich in culture, offering arts, education, outdoor and sports recreation, community, environmental studies and countless learning experiences for our students and families.
