We do not have a formal educational component. Many schools grant direct credit in these areas.

Kayaking, climbing, service projects, environmental education and primitive skills instruction.

The Catherine Freer program offers a unique treatment approach designed to foster significant positive change in a short period of time, as well as being a complement to outpatient treatment of preparation for longer-term residential care.

We ask that all adults living with the participant participate.

Work together to ensure the most innovative, clinically sophisticated, and meaningful treatment intervention for adolescents and their families

The Catherine Freer program is owned and operated by employees who have daily involvement in the program. We believe this helps to ensure the delivery of the most effective treatment possible.

The quality of each expedition is largely a product of the quality of the staff. Program staff are mature, committed professionals with advanced clinical training in chemical dependency and mental health issues, working under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist.
