Monarch School is a coeducational, residential school emphasizing the creative arts. It is dedicated to the needs of adolescents who are having difficulties at school and at home. We offer an academic environment designed for under-achieving teens, which engages students and allows them to develop into young adults with a strong intellect and a solid character.

Monarch School has a student population of approximately 50 students, about half girls and half boys. Students may enroll at any time of the year. Their academic schedule will not be interrupted for more than six weeks. It is preferred that students arrive with one or both parents. This establishes the parent’s intent and also demonstrates the parent’s commitment. When it is difficult for a parent to bring a child to enroll, please talk to your educational consultant or admissions director to assist you in selecting a reputable escort service.

Bright, creative and, until recently, seemed to have a bright future. Monarch students may have experienced some of the following: Negative change in personality. Negative peer Relationships. Lack of Motivation. Low Self Esteem. Prior Counseling. Truancy. Dishonesty. Divorce. Adoption. Death/Loss. ADD. ADHD. Hyperactivity. Defiance. Drug/Alcohol experimentation.

Offers an academic environment designed for under-achieving teens, which engages students and allows them to develop into young adults with a strong intellect and a solid character. Offer courses in Culinary Arts, Drama, Journalism, sewing, art, & creative arts.

Wandering paths, hiking trails, gorgeous ponds (allowing for skating in the winter or fishing in the summer/spring. Horses,sports, skiing, art, drama, music.
Students participate in a 3 day trip and a 12-15 day trip.

We are located in Heron, Montana (just over the Idaho border), on 120 acres of pure heaven

Parent conferences take place four times per year and include a visit. Our psychologists are available for additional parenting support. Parents with children enrolled at the Monarch School have exclusive access to our MSN interactive site. There they can take part in discussions with other parents and staff, view student pictures and activities, or find more information.

Monarch School is approved by PrepGate K-12 Education loans.
