Northwest Passages LLC is a 6-24 month transitional living program for young women between the ages of 16-22 who require assistance in gaining the necessary skills for living independently. We provide a dependable and secure environment, enabling young women to develop healthy, coping, living, communication and interpersonal skills. Also, they will receive academic guidance and counseling as they complete high school, attend college, or seek vocational training. Our main focus is mentoring, loving, and assisting young women as they navigate through the critical life passage from adolescence into adulthood.
Northwest Passages residents are usually transferring from a residential treatment program, a traditional boarding school, or are experiencing difficulties in transitioning into their high school or college setting.
Participants have demonstrated the potential and desire to live independently of their parents. Also they display enough emotional maturity to seriously pursue their high school/college or vocational education, work on a part time basis and complete volunteer community service. Participants elect to come to Northwest Passages; often they are legally adults and they are free to leave at any time. We expect the residents to agree to:
Membership at award winning Summit Health club with access to indoor swimming, tennis, rock climbing, racquet ball, lifting, and exercise classes/equipment.
Supervised and independent sports activities including hiking, camping, fishing, rafting, kayaking, snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, cycling and swimming.
Supervised outings throughout the northwest for concerts, sporting events, museums and other trips for educational purposes.
Coordination of individual counseling with licensed therapist.
